Atelier CHUZI is a Taiwan-based craft and design studio founded by Yang Chu-Chun and Chang Po Chih. The studio explores new perspectives and values through research-driven and experimental approaches, rethinking the role of design in shaping experience and meaning.
Through material innovation and interdisciplinary research, Atelier CHUZI challenges conventional boundaries and offers a fresh perspective on contemporary craft and design, while engaging with diverse cultural and environmental narratives.
Atelier CHUZI（アトリエ・チュージ）は、楊筑鈞と張博智によって設立された、台湾を拠点とする工芸とデザインのスタジオです。
リサーチを基盤とした実験的なアプローチによって、新たな視点や価値を探求しながら、デザインが人々の経験や意味の形成に果たす役割を捉え直しています。
素材が持つ新たな可能性と分野を横断するリサーチを通して、工芸とデザインの既存の枠組みを問い直し、多様な文化や環境との関わりから、現代の工芸とデザインに新たな視点を提示しています。
Yang Chu-Chun
Artist / Bamboo Craftsperson
With a background in industrial design, Yang Chu-Chun has long explored the creative possibilities of plant fibers and natural materials. Since 2016, she has focused on bamboo weaving, studying under Taiwanese bamboo craft master Chiu Chin-Tuan. Her foundation in traditional bamboo preparation, splitting, and weaving techniques continues to inform her exploration of bamboo across contemporary objects and spatial works.
楊筑鈞 Yang Chu-Chun
アーティスト／竹工芸作家インダストリアルデザインを学び、植物繊維や自然素材が持つ創造的な可能性を探求してきました。
2016年より竹編みに本格的に取り組み、台湾の竹工芸家・邱錦緞に師事。竹材の加工、竹ひごづくり、編組などの伝統的な技術を基盤としながら、竹を用いた現代的なオブジェクトや空間作品へと表現を広げています。
Chang Po Chih
Designer / Curator
With a background in industrial design, Chang Po Chih has experience across product, visual and spatial design, exhibitions, and curatorial projects. His experience spans product development and brand projects, and has gradually expanded into spatial projects and curatorial initiatives.
張博智 Chang Po Chih
デザイナー／キュレーターインダストリアルデザインを背景に、プロダクト、ビジュアル、空間デザイン、展覧会、キュレーションなど幅広い領域に携わっています。
プロダクト開発やブランドプロジェクトで培った経験をもとに、近年は空間プロジェクトやキュレーションへと活動領域を広げています。
